Cocoa Energy Balls

You guys where is summer going?! This momma cannot believe it's almost AUGUST! This summers been quite amazing so far we are going to have to do a catch up blog here soon with all of our adventures and stay-cations so far. Last month we got a Freshii restaurant and I'm obsessed. Everything from their bowls to frozen yogurt is so darn tasty. Not mention the prices are very reasonable. Every single time I'm in there I find myself grabbing energii bites, so I figured I would make some to have on hand throughout the week. With only ingredients you can pronounce and can find at any grocery store these freshii inspired bites will have you going back for more.

What your going to need:

1 1/2 Cups of Oats
3/4 Cups of unsweetened shredded coconut  + 1/4 cup to roll bites in
3 TBSP cocoa powder
1/4 Cup enjoylife mini chocolate chips
1/4 honey
3/4 Cups of peanut butter

What your going to do:

This part is the easiest. Just place everything in the bowl and mixed well. Once everything is coated place in the fridge for about 10 minutes. Once it is refrigerated use a tablespoon to create 1" balls and roll in shredded coconut. Store in an air tight container and place in the freezer.

Hope you guys enjoy these quick and easy no bake cocoa bites!

Our Home Gym

Good Morning! I finally got around to taking our home gym photos last week (yay for me). This room has had so many purposes over the last four and a half years from an office, to Peyton's room, to Kash's room, to a toy room, to a spare bedroom, back to Kash's room, but nothing seemed to last more than a couple months before I would change it up. But once its been a workout room that's exactly what was needed for this awkward shaped small room.

First it was pretty empty in there a wall length mirror, a small old TV, a yoga mat, a couple of little weights, and an elliptical from my mom. After a while I decided to hang mirrors across the one wall as a little DIY project and it has served the room well since. All together it was like $150 for 4 mirrors I believe. Then we switched out our elliptical for a tread mill my grandparents were getting rid of ( yay frugalness'). Then slowly adding new things as we found them on Kijiji or at amazing prices. Then I "had" to decorate it these past few months. Why? you ask who knows haha but I did I started with a feature wall and had sent away for wall decals but my impatient-ness took over and once the wall was painted, I just stencilled on my words. As you can see I'm the best at stencilling ( hint: the O in yoga) but I love how it turned out also was only $13 to do instead of $187. This past week I added these cute little shelves with an actual purpose to them. Every time I try to watch Netflix on the iPad and bike I fail miserably, dropping the iPad to the floor, so before I cracked my screen I decided to put these little DIY shelves up. Plus who doesn't love styling little shelves?! they have made it up in most of our rooms, "Hi my names Courtney and I am addicted to DIY shelving" But all in all this is one of my favourite rooms in the house, now just to get my butt back in gear and getting in here daily.
